One was the Book of Life. The other book is not named in the Bible, but became known as the Book of Deeds. According to John, “And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.” (NLT, Revelation 20:12) People whose names were not written in the Book of Life were cast into a lake of fire. This became known as the final judgment.
