Who betrayed Jesus by handing him over to the authorities? |
Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles. On the sly, Judas went to the priests who wanted Jesus arrested, and said, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” (NLT, Matthew 26:14–15) The priests paid Judas thirty pieces of silver. From that moment on, Judas looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
