Anna was another person Mary, Joseph, and Jesus met while they were at the temple. Anna was an eighty-four-year-old woman who never left the temple. She prayed and fasted all of the time. When she saw Jesus, “she began praising God. She talked about Jesus to everyone who had been waiting for the promised King to come and deliver Jerusalem.” (NLT, Luke 2:38)
