Who was Haman? |
Haman was the king’s right-hand man. Haman did not like Mordecai because Mordecai did not bow down to him. Mordecai was a Jew, so Haman persuaded the king to issue an edict that all the Jews in the land be killed. They cast a lot—or Pur—to determine the day of execution.
