Who wrote the first letter of Peter?

Peter, Jesus’ apostle, allegedly wrote this letter. Evidently, there were several copies of the letter, because the letter is addressed to people in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. He wrote the letter to address the concerns of a group of believers who used to participate fully in the culture of their country, but because of their new faith, found themselves marginalized and even abused. Most scholars think Paul wrote the letter in the early 60s C.E.
