Why are I and II Esdras sometimes called III and IV Esdras?

Sometimes I and II Esdras are referred to as III and IV Esdras. The reason is that, in the Latin Bible, I and II Esdras refer to the Hebrew Bible’s books of Ezra and Nehemiah.
