Why did Jesus spend so much time healing sick people?

Jesus loved people, and he cared about their lives. In Jesus’ time, something easily treated today, such as a urinary tract infection, might lead to death. The average life-span in the first century C.E. was age fifty. So Jesus ministered in a way that was not only helpful, but dramatic.
