What do MVP and PVA mean?

In this case, it does not mean “most valuable player,” but in population studies, the MVP is the minimum viable population size—the smallest number of individuals needed to perpetuate a population, subpopulation, or species. PVAs (population viability analyses) are especially helpful in predicting the MVP and is considered a process of identifying the threats faced by a species, then evaluating the likelihood that it will persist for a given time into the future or go extinct.
