What is the difference between a fat and a lipid? |
Lipids are bioorganic molecules that are hydrophobic. In other words, they do not mix with or dissolve in water. Among lipids is a category known as “fats.” Each fat molecule is comprised of a glycerol (alcohol) molecule and at least one fatty acid (hydro-carbon chain with an acid group attached).
