When do the swallows return to Capistrano? |
As part of their annual migration, thousands of swallows arrive each year around March 19th at the San Juan Capistrano mission in San Juan, California. They depart around October 23rd for their 6,000-mile (9,656-kilometer) flight to Goya, Argentina. March 19th and October 23rd are the feast days for Saints Joseph and San Juan, respectively.
