What are the two types of euryhaline fish?

The two types of euryhaline (from the Greek terms eurys, meaning “broad,” and hals, meaning “salt”) fish can tolerate a wide range of salinity. They include flounder, sculpin, and killifish that live in estuaries, intertidal areas where the salinity of the water fluctuates throughout the day. The second type includes salmon, shad, and eels, which spend part of their life cycles in freshwater and the balance in seawater.
