Jurassic Period

Saurischian Dinosaurs

Were there any dromaeosaurs, troodontids, therizinosaurs, or oviraptorosaurs in the Jurassic period?

There is little evidence of dromaeosaur, troodontid, therizinosaur (or segnosaur), and oviraptorosaur fossils in Jurassic period rock, although dromaeosaurid and troodontid teeth have been reported in late Jurassic rock. It is currently thought that these creatures evolved in the Late Jurassic, and were very prolific in the Cretaceous period.
