Learning Paleontology

What are certification programs in the field of dinosaur paleontology?

In response to the growing number of fossil collectors interested in dinosaur paleontology and field work, a number of museums and institutions are running programs designed to turn amateurs into “para-paleontologists.” Students are trained to collect and prepare dinosaur fossils like professionals, while remaining amateur collectors. With this training, some people may make the transition into a full-time paleontological career.
