In 1944, two carnosaurs were among several dinosaurs destroyed by allied bombers at the Bavarian State Museum in Munich, Germany: a Spinosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus. Other dinosaur skeletons destroyed were types of Aegyptosaurus and Bahariasaurus.
