Learning More About Dinosaurs

Resources

Where can I find books about dinosaurs at my local library?

Your local library has a wealth of information about dinosaurs; you just have to know where to look. A computer search of the online catalog system is a good place to start. Look under the subject: dinosaurs. Most of the adult nonfiction books on dinosaurs will be in the science section, with Dewey Decimal numbers ranging from 567.91 to 568.19. Most libraries make finding such books easy with the help of computer search programs. Ask your reference librarian for directions to this section if you need help. And do not forget the juvenile section of the library, whether you are a juvenile or an adult. Many juvenile sections of libraries seem to have more books on dinosaurs, albeit on a less technical level. The same Dewey Decimal numbers apply here: with a prefix J (for juvenile), look in the range 567.91 to 568.19.
