The popular radio game show “Truth or Consequences” offered to host its 10th anniversary show in a city that would change its name to the show’s title. In 1950 Hot Springs, New Mexico, changed its name and the 10th anniversary show was broadcast from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. The city still holds the name today.
