What is ethnic cleansing

Ethnic cleansing is the forced deportation or murder of people in certain ethnic groups within a country or region. Ethnic cleansing has been a part of world history for many millennia. Infamous examples of ethnic cleansing include the mass killings in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, the mass killings in Rwanda in 1994, and the Armenian genocide in Turkey in the 1930s.
