The Arirang Festival or Mass Games, held every April 15 and lasting for two months, is a celebration including performances by thousands of students who create gigantic mosaic pictures by holding colored mosaic cards while standing in an enormous stadium. There are also dance performances during the ceremony. For this event, the North Korean government has even allowed some American tourists to attend.
