What is the difference between Central and Latin America

Central America includes the countries that connect North and South America and are located between Mexico and Colombia. The seven countries of Central America are Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. Latin America is a much broader term, and includes Central America as well as Mexico and all of the countries of South America.
