What is the largest landlocked country in the world

Kazakhstan, which is the ninth largest country in the world, has no outlet to the ocean. It is over one million square miles (2.59 million square kilometers) in area. While Kazakhstan is located adjacent to the Caspian Sea, the Caspian Sea is a landlocked sea.
