What is the oldest public park in the United States?

In 1634, William Blackstone sold 50 acres of his land to the town of Boston. This pastureland was set aside for common use and called the Boston Common, making it the oldest public park in the United States. The Common is situated in front of Massachusetts’ State House and has always been open public land.
