Where is Acadiana |
In 1755, the British took control of Acadie, New Brunswick, Canada, and exiled the city’s inhabitants. Forced to leave their homes, these people, known as Acadians, moved to Louisiana. The Acadians are still present in Louisiana and their culture has produced famed food and music, called Cajun. The area in southern Louisiana where the Acadians still live is termed Acadiana.
