Stanford professor Darrell Duffie also believes that as individual investors become more capable of managing their own financial affairs, improvements in software and online tools will enable investors to visualize changes to their portfolios, allowing them to see the effects of changing the allocations of their investments, and the returns they might experience. They will also be able to alter the risk of their portfolios and see many different possible scenarios and correlations with just a mouse click.
