Money Market Funds

What different types of money market funds exist?

Although many types of money market funds invest in many types of asset classes, the principal types of money market funds invest in government securities, tax-exempt municipal securities, corporate securities, or combinations of the above. Most securities held in a money market fund are short term, consisting primarily of debt-based securities such as U.S. Treasury Bills and short-term commercial debt.
