Even after you identify opportunities to invest in target companies, for whatever reason, often the transaction is not consummated. It is best to find companies in which the transaction can happen, and not feel attached to deals in which the seller is not motivated, or if the numbers do not support making the investment. Remember, you may be walking away from a deal in which you could lose hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. By walking away, you may use those same funds for a better potential candidate.
