Will my money always be protected by the FDIC up to $250,000?

Until this law is changed, all deposits are insured by the FDIC for up to $250,000 per depositor. Any single account with a banking institution is insured up to $250,000. All joint accounts have equally proportionate ownership for each account holder, and is insured up to $250,000 for each individual on the account.
