## How do you divide polynomials? |

To divide a polynomial by a monomial, divide each term in the polynomial by the monomial (to divide monomials, we divide the coefficients and then subtract the exponents) or:

(A + B + C)/M = A/M + B/M + C/M

For example, to solve the equation

10*x*^{5}/2*x*^{3} = (10/2) (*x*^{5-3}) = 5*x*^{2}
