Elements of the ancient Iranian religion, Zoroastrianism, and its mythology have often been compared with Christianity. The same is true of Indian and Iranian myths surrounding the god Mitra/Mithra. The Phrygian myth concerning the man-god Attis possesses elements that make it comparable to Christianity.
