Shakti is divine creative energy, sometimes personified as one manifestation of Devi, the Great Mother goddess.

Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma all have their Shaktis in the form of their wives, Pārvatī, Lakshmi, and Sarasvati, all of whom are also manifestations of Devi. Devi is most often seen in connection with Shiva, as one of his wives— Pārvatī, Kali, and Durga. She is also incarnated as Radha, the favorite wife of Krishna, and Draupadi, the Pandava wife, who can also be seen as an avatar of Lakshmi. In fact, Devi is a collective name for all Hindu goddesses. Or she can be worshipped by her particular devotees as Mahadevi (Great Goddess), an equal in the trinity she forms with Shiva and Vishnu. The most popular mythological manifestations of Devi are the terrifying goddesses Kali and Durga.
