Who are Vishnu’s avatars? |
The ten avatars of Vishnu are Matsya the fish, Kurma the turtle, Varaha the boar, Narashimba the lion-man, Vamana the dwarf, Parasu-Rama (Rama with the ax), Sri-Rama, Balabhadra-Rama, Krishna, and Kalki, an avatar who will come at the end of the present age, the Kali Yuga. Some count the Buddha as an avatar of Vishnu. Rama and Krishna were by far the most important of the avatars.
