The World Myth

Principal Components of the World Myth

Who are the primary deity archetypes in the world myth?

A Supreme Being who is also a creator is common. Supreme creator gods dominate most cultural pantheons. Earth or Mother goddesses are also common, however, as are animal-related gods and deities who represent various aspects of nature. Trickster gods are not universal, but they exist in sufficient number to suggest that the world myth needs them.
