There are many Welsh heroes featured in the Mabinogion. These include, for instance, Pwyll and Pryderi in the “First Branch” and the “Third Branch,” and the most famous of all Welsh heroes, King Arthur. Another hero, who is actually a product of Celtic Cornwall, is Tristan, whose name is of Welsh origin.
