Celtic Mythology

Cuchulainn and the Tain

Who were the primary Irish mythic heroes?

The primary figure in the Ulster Cycle is Cuchulainn. In the Fenian Cycle it is Fionn mac Cumhail. These heroes interact with several other heroes and heroines in the Tain Bo Cuailnge and other works of the Ulster Cycle and in the many fragments which make up the story of Fionn.
