Eliminating Credit Card Debt

How can I calculate how much credit card debt I can afford?

The easiest answer to this is zero. Credit cards should not be used as a way of financing the purchase of anything, because the interest rate and finance charges are too high to ever justify it. If you were to use a card to buy an expensive television, it would end up costing you twice the original price if you use a credit card and pay the minimum monthly payment and “finance” the purchase. Credit cards should only be used to make purchases for an amount that you can pay off entirely each month.
