Mutual Funds

What are loaded funds?

These are mutual funds that charge a fee for purchasing (front load) or selling (back end load) shares in the fund. They have the highest expenses associated with them, and are offered by brokers, who may then get paid commissions on your transactions. Because of the fees associated, an investor in loaded mutual funds may experience lower returns as a result.
