What are out-of-pocket maximums?

This is the amount of expenses that the insured would pay in any given year, up to a maximum amount as set forth in the medical insurance policy. The higher the maximum, the lower the annual premium.



Medical insurance should ideally be designed to cover both emergencies and preventive care.
