Mutual Funds

What is a closed ended mutual fund?

This is a type of mutual fund that offers a fixed number shares on a public exchange during its initial public offering, and then is listed on an exchange with the price of the shares determined by the supply and demand for shares in that fund, as well as the underlying value of the stocks in the portfolio of the fund. These tend to be sector funds, or funds that seek to invest in specific aspects of the economy.

Individual Retirement Accounts help people save for retirement by allowing them to put away money without paying taxes until they withdraw funds. In this way, it is easier to build up money faster and accrue more interest.
