What percentage of banks offer mutual funds to their customers?

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, nearly one-third of all banks in the United States offer mutual funds to their clients. This amounts to approximately 3,500 banks in the United States. Some banks may refer customers to other brokerages, while others offer the funds directly to clients.
