What’s another general rule about location?

Some people believe that one should consider buying the worst house on the best block, since the street already demonstrates that it is a very valuable area. And with some hard work, perhaps cash invested to fix it up, the house will be far more valuable over time than buying “the best” house on the block, one that requires no work or additional changes whatsoever but already commands a premium price.



If you buy a house in a newly built subdivision, there is a risk that the builder may run out of money and not complete the project.
