Health Insurance

What types of discrepancies are there in medical bills?

Sometimes a doctor may charge you for a service that you were unaware of, charge you twice for the service, or charge you for a service that is already free according to your plan. So it is very important to understand your medical insurance plan, and perhaps even call ahead to the doctor to find out how much out of pocket you will have to pay before your appointment so that you are not surprised.

There are many items to check when reviewing health insurance plans, including reviewing what medical tests are covered. Tests, such as CT scans, can cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars for one hospital visit.
