Why do women experience more of the consequences of life crises than men?

Women live longer than men, and therefore will have to deal with more of these situations than men. Since women tend to be the caregivers to their family, they tend to focus more on the emotional and logistical aspects of the crises, with little time or energy left for understanding the financial aspects of the crises.



Unemployment can—and usually does—hit you unexpectedly. In recent years, long-term unemployment has been the worst since records were first kept in 1948. Many Americans have been unemployed for nine or more months. Worse still, studies show that employers are reluctant to hire people who have been out of work.
