Why do you choose to include savings as a budgeted category?

We include savings as a budgeted category because we must plan for and have a goal of setting aside money, however small, into savings each and every month in order to attain our financial goals. Savings is not something that happens after you pay your bills. It is something that happens before you pay your bills.
