How is the pressure of a gas similar to liquid pressure?

The pressure from a gas, acts the same way liquid pressure does. One difference between gaseous and liquid pressure is that gases are about 1/1000 as dense as liquids and therefore apply less pressure. The second difference is that gases can be easily compressed while the compressibility of liquid is very small.
