Ultrasonics and Infrasonics

What are ultrasonic sounds?

Ultrasonic sounds are those frequencies above human hearing. Frequencies above 20,000 Hz are not heard by people, but are heard by those animals whose hearing is sensitive to ultrasonic frequencies. For example, dolphins use ultrasonic frequencies to communicate and bats use ultrasonic sounds as a tool for navigation and hunting.
