What is aerodynamics?

Aerodynamics is an aspect of fluid dynamics dealing specifically with the movement of air and other gases. Engineers studying aerodynamics analyze the flow of gases over and through automobiles, airplanes, golf balls, and other objects that move through air. They also study the effect of moving air on buildings, bridges, and other static objects.
