He had eight children with his first wife, Letitia. Their names were Mary, Robert, John, Letitia, Elizabeth, Anne Contesse, Alice, and Tazewell. He then had seven more children with his second wife, Julia. Their names were David Gardiner, John Alexander, Julia Gardener, Lachlan, Lyon Gardiner, Robert Fitzwater, and Pearl. Tyler had fifteen children—the most of any president in history.
