Abraham Lincoln

Early Life and Family

Did he have any children?

Yes, Lincoln and Mary had four sons: Robert Todd, Edward, William, and Thomas. Edward died at age three, William at age eleven, and Thomas at age eighteen. Only Robert Todd, the oldest son, lived a full life. He later served as secretary of war to James Garfield and Chester A. Arthur. He also worked as U.S. ambassador to Great Britain under President Benjamin Harrison.
