Grover Cleveland

Early Life and Family

Did he have any children?

Yes, Grover and Frances had five children: Ruth, Esther, Marion, Richard Folsom, and Francis Glover. Ruth—known as “Baby Ruth” in the press—died at age twelve. Esther, the only child in American history to be born in the White House, married a British military officer. Marion married twice and worked with the Girl Scouts organization on a national level. Richard Folsom graduated from Harvard Law School and later served as general counsel to the Public Service Commission in Baltimore, Maryland. Francis Grover graduated from Harvard, earning his degree in drama.
