Warren G. Harding

Early Life and Family

Did he have any children?

Harding and his wife, Florence, did not have any children. However, Harding allegedly had a daughter through an extramarital affair with Nan Britton, a woman thirty years younger than him. Britton claimed in the book The President’s Daughter (1927) that Harding fathered her child. It has never been conclusively proven that Harding was the biological father of the child. The daughter—Elizabeth Ann Blaesing—was born in 1919 and passed away in 2005.
