Yes, Dwight and Marie had two sons: Doud, who was born in 1919, and John, who was born in 1922. Doud Dwight Eisenhower died at age three in 1921. Still living at the time of this writing, John Sheldon Doud Eisenhower had a military career and then wrote several books on military history. For example, he authored Allies: Pearl Harbor to D-Day (1982). He also served as U.S. ambassador to Belgium from 1969 to 1971.
